An audio slideshow entitled The Afro comb and the politics of hair  by Alexis Akwagyiram, is up on the BBC News website. It's all about the Origins Of The Afro Comb exhibition and you can watch it >HERE<.
If you haven't got yourself or your people together and made it down to the Origins Of The Afro Comb Exhibition yet. I strongly recommend you do it.
The Origins Of The Afro Comb, is the first ever exhibition of it's kind to shine a light on one of the most iconic objects in Black Culture. It's very rare to find an item that survives, adapts and reflects a history from 4000BC in Egypt and Sudan, to the present day here in the UK and across USA & Caribbean.
Curated by Dr Sally-Ann Ashton, the exhibition was opened on July 1st 2013 by special guest Author, Poet & Cambridge Fellow Ben Okri, and is only on for 1 more month (closes on Nov 3rd)  at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
