THE COCOVOCADO DEEP CONDITIONER - A DIY RECIPE FOR SUMMER HAIR

Heatwaves in the UK are few and far between, hence I'm still learning the best way to handle my hair in the sun. On a beautifully bright weekend I just wana wear my hair out. Screw protective styling!
By the end of the hottest weekend of the year so far, my hair was feeling pretty dry and delicate, and since I'm running low on Deep Conditioners, I decided to try and mix my own using whatever I could find in the kitchen.
Here's what I came up with...
THE COCOVOCADO DEEP CONDITIONER
I wanted ingredients that would help to restore the moisture/protein balance to my hair.

The measurements I used in the recipe were purely experimental, so I may adjust them in the future.
Applying it was a very messy process as it was very runny, but it didn't have a lot of slip so it wasn't great at detangling my hair. I applied it in sections which I twisted off and then covered my hair with clingfilm and sat in the sun for about 3hrs.
Once I'd rinsed it out, my hair felt SO friggin' FANTASTIC!!
It definitely felt well nourished, softer and stronger. It was brilliant. I'm always a bit skceptical about homemade recipes but this one gave me the exact results I wanted. I have to admit that I was very surprised at how successful this experiment was.
I'm definitely looking forward to trying this again, but next time I plan to purée the avocado with a blender first, as opposed to whisking it. This time I had to co-wash some of the avocado bits out of my hair, but next time I'll do a better job of breaking it down thoroughly.
